Andrew is an award-winning classical actor who boasts six seasons with the Stratford Festival. Raised in small-town Leamington, Ontario, Andrew Iles is a professional actor and musician now located in Stratford, Ontario. A graduate from the University of Windsor’s B.F.A. in Acting program (2015) and the Stratford Festival’s Birmingham Conservatory (2017).
Some milestone productions for Andrew include Henry VIII and The Neverending Story (2019), Three Tall Women (2021), Hamlet-911 (2022), King Lear (2023), Romeo & Juliet and Twelfth Night (2024).
In 2018, he graciously received the Michael Mawson Award as a promising young actor with Classical text facility. In 2024, he received the Douglas Rain Award for clarity of speech, thought, and characterization — qualities the renowned Douglas Rain himself embodied and strove for throughout his career.
In addition to theatre on a national level, Andrew works in film and television, with some notable credits in What we do in the Shadows, Reign, and Murder U.
As a musician, Andrew’s talents on the guitar and piano are adamantly sought after in the music industry. A member and song writer for Thicc, The Wanderlust Club, The Brandy Alexander’s, South River Slim, he skillfully creates music of many genres including Rock, Soul, Pop, R&B, Blues, Funk, and many others.
Andrew is a first-generation Lebanese-Welsh Canadian who is passionate about cultivating and supporting Canadian theatre projects, artists, and adaptations.
